Steve Partridge Julie D'Errico, Photo Editor for Computerworld asked me to shoot an environmental portrait of Steve Partridge, Director of the Office of Workforce Development for the Arizona Department of Commerce, for a story about companies receiving tax credits for IT training called "Finding out where the credit is due." The background is a curved glass wall, and on the other side is the conference room, so we put a grey muslin behind the glass wall and lit it up in the background to hide the conference room and table. Lighting: Dynalite Using Harrison & Harrison filters to blur the background through a second exposure... the main light fires (synced to the camera), then put the filter in front of the lens, and have the assistant pop the expose background lights exposing them through the diffusion filter.
