Susan Morrison, the art director for Federal Computer Week Magazine asked for an environmental portrait of Charles Blanchard, Director of Homeland Security Office for the State of Arizona

The location is the Sandra Day O'Connor U.S. Courthouse in downtown Phoenix. I scouted the location a few days before the shoot to find a good background and as I walked up to the building, there's this giant American flag blowing in the wind outside of the courthouse, so on the day of the shoot I'm praying for any kind of wind... well it got windy near the end of the shoot so the flag is flying in the background of the shot just as I hoped for.

Lighting: Only one Dynalite in a small Chimera softbox, with a black gobo on the shadow side to block a bit of the ambient fill from the windows to Camera left. Shot with the Hasselblad ELX, 150mm lens at f/5.6
